what am i going to do?

I have been so lazy coming online and blog. =S
It has been a really busy months recently but the parks is slowing down recently..

It has been less than a week to be with Disney.
6months program is going to be over already?
My god.
I have been seeing people joining Spaceship Earth and leaving at the same time.

I have so much emotions in me today.
Seeing the video that Sean (the Irish man) made makes me miss all the lovable people I met suring this period of time.
I won't want to think of the departure because I am the only one leaving Spaceship Earth this time.

Well, I am going to New York after the program. After California, it is my next agenda to visit New York. It is so much of cost.
Living in States is not what you may think as a cheap living.
Food, transportation, accommodation and miscellaneous expenditure?
My god. I don't have sufficient money to do everything here.
Till now, I have not get the souvenirs for people?
How how?
And even my pay is coming in.. It is not sufficient..
*please have money to drop from the sky for me*

The day you saw Shu Hui & Sylvia leaving at the airport you cried.

Then the next week was me leaving.

Thanks for being such a sweet soul.

You company me to satisfy my clubbing crave with me till the club closed.

Even though you were working early the next morning, you were there with me.

The next day, after work, you were at my place packing my stuff for me.

You even bought me sunflower and that sweet written photograph note.

Even though you were so tired, you sent my flight.

Thanks for being there.

And please don't worry.

We will have all those crazy fun together when I return to Singapore.

I love working at the greeter. Getting out in the sun and talking to the guests out there.
The load rotation is fun and unload rotation is not that bad too.
I enjoyed working today.
I chatted with the guests, answering their questions, talking about Singapore and I learnt more about my colleagues.

I am just tired today. I walked long today. 12.45pm to 9.30pm shift.

I went to Chili's today. The food is affordable and good.
I like it there. =)
I had this crazy night out with Therese, Syakra and Sonja.
We were laughing the hell out of us at the restaurant.
I know so much more now.
And we were dancing in the car to poker face.
It is nice to feel real and to enjoy myself.

I know I am not.
I'm confused.
How I wish I am watching it outside.

It is weird how some things are not working out.
Uncertainty makes people upset.
But in the end of the day.
Somehow, somewhat..

Been in Orlando a few weeks

I have been at Disney a few weeks.
There are a few interesting happening.

Been spending alot of money on food here.
The Walmart, Asian Market, Publix and sometimes the eating out.
I'm really lucky to stay with 4 course mates.
They are really nice people, making an effort to make it as homely as possible. =)
We have been cooking pretty frequent as the food here are really expensive and unhealthy too.

My job has been fine too. The weather can get really sunny and windy when I'm working as a greeter fro Spaceship Earth. My colleagues are pretty friendly and nice. I managed to work with people my age which makes working much more fun.
I'm learning Spanish at the moment! I feels that it is a sexy language and many people here speak Spanish, thus learning it makes my work assisting them easier. =)

It is inevitable for this.
I miss my family.
I miss being pampered.
I miss mum's cooking.
Here, I am afraid I didn't have any food to eat as it isn't as convenient as driving down or walking down to the places near home.
I have to do my own laundry.
I have to take care of myself.
*Praying that she will get well and able to discharge from the hospital.*

Eating home cooked food.

I cooked dinner yesterday!

And today, Sarah, Sean, Yen Ju cooked.
But there were like Sarah, Sean, Yen Ju, Rou Bing, Woan Tyng, Benjamin and I were having dinner together.
Though it was like less than 2 weeks we had dinner together but it feel so long. =(
We had fun! Eating the pretty good food together plus the gossiping and complaining to do!

Oh ya. I think I spent a lot here. That day I went to buy my facial products (bath & body works), I bought a top (wet seal), moisturizer and body foam (crabtree and evenlyn). Then I had bear papa and mango drink (spent like 6usd), lunch I had pizza and salad (8usd) and the bus rides was like almost 10usd. Grrr.
That day I went to polo to buy some stuffs as there were additional discount. =x

But only the shirts and black polo tee are mine. The rest aren't. I just help people buy and I'm broke! =(

I passed my assessment!

I have been doing my training over at Spaceship Earth, Epcot last week and I had my assessment on Sunday. On Sunday, I woke up an hour late! I was 15 minutes late. But luckily my examiner is Gary, a very nice colleague. =)

I was assessed on whether I can do the tasks in the attraction, a test and an interview with the manager.
When I was performing the tasks, there were some hiccups but nothing big happened.
But when I was done with my assessment paper, Gary went through the paper to grade it.
I saw him drawing many question marks on my paper and I was confused. I cannot believe that I made so much mistake even though I didn't check through my answers. Then, I realised that my answers are correct! Just that the answer sheet is wrong!
Hahas. I only seen the paper once before my assessment, and I managed to score 75 out of 78!

And, I passed my assessment!
So I'm officially a cast member of Disney that no longer a trainee.

Yesterday, working alone is scary. It was like you were "chained" for a while and once it was removed, you are a little lost of what you should do.
Something happened. Instructions were not given clearly, the followers obeyed blindly and ended up a futile effort made.

I had my Disney traditions class today.

The class teaches the Disney's past, present and future.

Their presentation is good especially the videos.

There are so many things about Disney that I didn't know before.

1: Walt Disney is a creative and handsome man.

2: He is a wonderful dad as he wants to build a place( Disney theme park) for his daughter to have fun and be happy.

3: The own touchdown, abc, ESPN.

4: American Idol is over at Hollywood Studio at Disney World.

5: Shows like Desperate House Wife, Brother & Sister, Grey Anatomy and many more were theirs.

As their Cast Member(employee) we are entitled to many discount like the Nike Factory Outlet over at the Premium Outlet.

We have free entry to all the parks and free entry to our 3 friends a day to the parks too!

Each park ranges prices about from 50-80usd.

And Disney World has like about 8parks.

It is so expensive. =X

I'm stating my first day of work tomorrow at Spaceship Earth over at the Epcot theme park.

I'll be working from 1315-2200.

Rou Bing is working there too and she wants to see how the uniform for her attraction looks like. =)

What a long day.

I woke up like 7.15am today again to attend the Disney orientation. But we have the early release as the China students, 60 of them, has a talk with someone and we,12, Singaporeans are free to have a 2 hours break before we get our work details.

I hereby announced where will I be working at Disney:

At the Epcot, spaceship Earth. But I'm unsure of the specific roles.

My schedule is like tomorrow, Saturday: I’m going to be at traditions (Lesson for Disney) 1.30pm to don’t know what time.
Sunday (5th April) & Monday (6th April): on job training from 13:15 to 22:00
Tuesday (7th April): 08:00 to 12:30
Wed & Thurs: off
Friday (10April), Saturday (11th April) & Sunday (12th April): 06:45-15:30.

I saw this bird crossing the road near my complex during the short lunch break we have during the orientation.

Heading down to Disney Downtown.

While we were searching for food, I saw this 7eleven petrol station. I didn't know they are such a diversified company!

This is the place where they served fantastic seafood! The bill is like 177usd plus. But each and everyone of us enjoyed the dinner! We even met a disney cast member there and she offer to drive us out of disney to the Asian market, hair salon or what if we need to becuase her previous room-mate was from Singapore and she enjoyed her company! Way to go!

After Dinner, we went to Premium Outlet. So many branded stuffs on discount.

OMG.

In life, don't read too much.

Think less.

Bother less.

Expect less.

Happier.

Arrived in Orlando.

The intership has a tour over at Washington for a few days with the Dr Becker, the liasion officer over here for us. He has been a really good teacher and guide to compromise the plans we want and do his best in satisfying us and at the same time put our best interest at heart. However, we won't be seeing him till May. I'll miss him. He is really a wonderful, understanding and caring person.

Today, we started our Disney orientation program. We were briefed on the basic ground rules.

It started since morning 8.45am to 2pm. After that, we went back to our apartment to take a break. We tried washing our stuffs. =X. 60mins to dry. Lucky the laundry is just next to us.

We went Wal-mart today and buy our stuffs! I finally get my pillow and my blanket. Last night was really cold, I wore long sleeves plus my jacket to sleep. We bought food and essential stuffs, bring them pack home and we have a cook over at my house gathering. =D

The food was fine. Yen Ju cooked noodles (from sg) to go with Pei Rong's sambal chilli(from sg) or go with my miso soup(from sg). Then Wan Tyng and Jo brought their popcorn(Wal-mart), many of the left over food from her previous room mates over. Rou Bing contributed her buffalo wings, Sarah and Pei Rong wipped up eggs and sausage, and the guys brought over their bacon and sausages to cook.

For dessert, I shared my 10usd strawberries with them. Hahas.. I didn't even know how much it cost but I bought it becuase I want to eat it. =D Not that good though. Korean strawberries taste so much better! Wan Tyng bought chocolate pudding too. =)

Richard, Jasmine, Sean and I did some cleaning out here and there and with everyone else doing a little here and there. some did cooking before hand too.

Everyone is quite involve with the meal. Contributing food and effort! Good!

Mum called me today! =D I miss her and she keep asking me to take care.. I miss her. Love her

This will be the last day I'm at Washington and we will be flying to Orlando tomorrow.
Today was a pretty good tour.
We went to Hampton University today. We were given talks about being in attachment in Disney, the modules we will be taking and how we can do for our touring around states after our attachment ends.
The campus is pretty. Really pretty.
We met some of their students and they are very nice and friendly.
Bought some souvenirs from the university book store. =D
After the tour, we went to AT&T and have our prepaid card. It works!
So if anyone wants my number, let me know. =)

For dinner, we went to a Thai restaurant and had pretty good food. We even met the former secretary of states. He is a humorous and wonderful man. =)
Back to the hotel, everyone is so tired!
Yet, we have to pack up all our stuffs to go to Orlando already.
We have to meet like 9.15am tml again? =(
I have been wakig up early these days!

I need to blog to keep a record of what I am going to do when I get back home with khaki.

1st post from states

Okay. The previous post are posted in Washington!
So people, I'm officially in States.
Stay at a different hotel today.
Been touring the whole day in DC.
Been to the white house, the air and space museum, the art museum, the american history museum and the natural history museum!

The weather is pretty drastic. It is like 9-11 degrees in the morning and night while 5-10 degree higher during the noon.
The food? It is horrible. Both chinese and western is bad. =(
Too sweet or too salty. =(

It is 1.50am and I have to get to bed now! Waking up at 7.30am for the tour again!

Enjoyed myself!

Hahas..I went for movie with nsf on Thursday. We watched the confession of shopaholic.
We bought so much snacks into the cinema! Damn hungry!

After that we rushed over to Clarke Quay to meet Peiling, Elf (Pei Ling's friend) and Pei Fen; and head down to double O.

Nsf just went ahead and order 5 jer ge boom (not sure how it is spelt, the red bull drink eh.)
So I was forced to drink. =X After that, he went to order another 2 jugs of vodka. =S
I have been clubbing quite awhile but I club a different way that day. =) Sometimes different is fun? hahas.. I had so much fun satisfying my crave. =X
My company has things early in the morning on friday and the agreed to club with me till 3am! =D

Friday.
I went back to henderson in the morning with nsf to pick up my fujitsu laptop from service!
Erm.. he missed his run because we club till too late. Sorry. =X
After that we head down to harbour front to attend the canon camera workshop with lina.
While he slack at coffee house read the book. =X

I shopped at vivo. A lot. =X
Bought my shoes and other necessity hahas.

Den we head down to Chomp Chomp for dinner! We ordered too much. Or more like he order too much that we couldn't finish! =X.

I met Peiling and Pei Fen again. Head down my house and help me with the luggage packing. =X
Yeah. Last minute packing.
Then, sister drove us to brother's place for majiong session!
And nsf came along too.
I cracked his itouch. =X
And he lost money playing majiong. GUILT.

After majiong session, sister drove all of us plus kar yee cousin to the airport.
Daniel, Serene, VK, Fabian, David, Aldrin came to send me off at the airport too!
Serene and VK has to force themselves from the bed to come and gave me a sweet photo album!
Daniel tried to surpise me and drove to the airport.
Fabian was drunk but came.
David, got Aldrin to drive him over and he gave me a scarf.
It is so so handy!
Peiling gave me sunflower and photo!
While nsf gave me a book (yakuza) and a farewell card!

I have been meeting people during the last week before I fly.

Initially, I wanted to stay at home, spend time with my family, do the packing and cleaning of the room. But it doesn't seem like it is going along as planned. =X

I met David yesterday. He accompanied me to do some errands and last minute shopping in town. Elanie came over and met him afterwards. =) Happy Birthday!

I was supposed to go eat beancurd over at Jalan Kayu but it was a last minute call so I'm having it on Thursday. =S

Today is a tiring day. I woke up early, brought the new laptop to school to install the programmes. I dislike eating in school due to the lack of variety but I had prata with M, he met me in school. He complained that I am leaving and he wants to meet up again before I go. So here I am! =)

Esther, Sylvia and Shu Hui. The pictures are for you guys. I know you girls will miss the pratas. Any Milo there?=X .There are egg, cheese, mushroom and bomb. We shall eat together again when you guys back alright? Or more like when I'm back.=) Hope you guys manage to find Chinatown there for Asian food.

We headed down to Henderson to get my old laptop fixed.

Why did I go Henderson instead of Funan? Well, I went Funan yesterday, but it will take a few days longer to get it fixed. Locating the service centre was a horror. No clear information from the fujitsu customer service nor signs around the area to identify the right direction.

From there, we took 167 home. I was really tired and I keep nagging that I am tired to him. =X

But, as the bus drove I enjoy the sights. There are familiar, interesting and odd places.

SG isn't that boring actually. =)

Once I'm home, I'm really tired. I chatted online for awhile and fallen asleep.

I woke up about 7pm as I'm Amos for coffee at Thomson Plaza Starbucks.

It has been so long I last see him.

Seated at the smoking corner. Sial la, I have so many smoker friends. His intake at starbucks today like 6,7 sticks.

We chatted till Starbucks closes and we cabbed home, like 12 am? Hahas.

Talking to him made me realised and learnt a lot of things. About the studying and working environment of the hospitality industry. His signature act blur, I know what you are upto and I know what you mean smile and talking to him definitely makes me laugh like mad.

I miss John too. Hope to see him soon when I'm back. ; )

Meeting Cherlyn tommorrow over at Yishun, going back to Northland to know the surprise Godpa have for me.

Plus, movie with nsf. We can go eat the beancurd too. =)

Seafood!

I met Godpa and Rochester for dinner.
We had dinner over at Owen Seafood Restaurant. =D
It has been like a year since I last met Roach. The last time was he was doing relief teaching over at northland.
And he thought I am going to states for good and not coming back. Hahas.. No worries, you will see me in like 6months time with your present back!
