friendship

It has been so long since I last blogged.
I am back from states for more than 2 months already.
It is good to be back home with family and friends and definitely my favourite foodies.
However, the experience I had, the memories I owned will stays vividly with me.

The people I met, the friends I made are so interesting and real.
Not that those who are around me are not, but the friendship is so different.
We all are people coming from all over the world, we all have different cultures, different accents, different colours and thinking.
Yet, everyone are so ready to accept you and make you their friends.
No prejudice.
Everyone is so sincere, the fun I had was incredible light and joyful.
I am lucky that I met these people who are constantly dear to my heart. :)

We have been friends.
Or are we not?
There is nothing wrong with the friendship?
It is always give and take.
Just give, and take?
It is always many of you and little of me.
It has been so long, you have been constantly telling me how much you appreciate me as a friend.
You said you want to do so much for me.
The supposed sending off of flight, the supposed picking up flight, the supposed cookies, the supposed gifts for my attachment, the supposed birthday present, and supposed gifts from your oversea trips.

Many times, you told me the reason for the impossible mission for accomplish them.
I do understand.
I really do.
Till now, it doesn't matter anymore.
Because, I do have eyes.
I can see.
I do have ears.
I can hear.
Your current friends are more important.
You are constantly doing things to cheer them up, to make them happy.
Maybe there are friends that you are more willing to keep.
All my supposed, you have done it for them.
Oh ya, it was impossible for me, not them.
If that is it, thank you. And goodbye.

what am i going to do?

I have been so lazy coming online and blog. =S
It has been a really busy months recently but the parks is slowing down recently..

It has been less than a week to be with Disney.
6months program is going to be over already?
My god.
I have been seeing people joining Spaceship Earth and leaving at the same time.

I have so much emotions in me today.
Seeing the video that Sean (the Irish man) made makes me miss all the lovable people I met suring this period of time.
I won't want to think of the departure because I am the only one leaving Spaceship Earth this time.

Well, I am going to New York after the program. After California, it is my next agenda to visit New York. It is so much of cost.
Living in States is not what you may think as a cheap living.
Food, transportation, accommodation and miscellaneous expenditure?
My god. I don't have sufficient money to do everything here.
Till now, I have not get the souvenirs for people?
How how?
And even my pay is coming in.. It is not sufficient..
*please have money to drop from the sky for me*

Movie marathon

After the UO outing, the next day Sarah, Jasmine, Yen and Peis went to Vista Way to have Wendy's before Peis went to work while the rest of us head down to Downtown Disney for Movie.

We watched the proposal, transformer and 3D UP.
The movies were really really good!
However, all of us were suffering from headache for watching the movies all at one go.

Mentioning 3D UP, I watched it the second time with the girls.
The first time I went to watch UP was with Rou Bing afther we went bring the UO people to Disney World to play on the 2nd day.

We departed with them at Hollywood Studios and we proceed to Downtown Disney.
We dined in Rain Forest Cafe and the food was super!
The seafood was really fresh and tender.
The steak was well cooked and not over done. Nice!
They have very good service too. We told the server that we need the food to be serve quickly as we are rushing for movie and he was really patient with us and do his best to speed up our dinning process.

We walked from one end of Downtown Disney to another and it took us less than 10 minutes.
When UP started, I was already crying.
And throughout the whole show, I cried more.
It was a really touching yet inspirational movie though it might not be real but it really thought me something that everyone should learn.
Sometimes we have to let go to gain something else. =)

UO outing

Sarah, Pei Rong, Yen, Jasmine and I went over to UO to play.

We woke up at 7am!
The first thing we did in the morning was to Mcdonalds for breakfast.
We missed the Lynx buses and took IRide down to Days Inn instead.
We alighted at the wrong place Days Inn property but it could be a blessing in disguise as the property we reserved was actually next to a jail.

Thanks Hui Ying for bringing us around UO and provided us with a fast entrance solution. =)

We managed to cover the major rides such as Jurassic Park River Adventure, Popeye, Spider-Man, Hulk, Seuss Landing and etc.
However, I was extremely tired.
I slept during lunch and when the rest were shopping in the day.

The rest were doing some shopping over at Betty Boop and the other UO Souvenir shop when Shu Hui, Sylvia, Renee and Pauline came over and meet us after their work.

We were supposed to have dinner together but everyone from Disney was so tired and we headed back to Days Inn to rest.

The next day, we had China Buffet!
The chinese food definitely cannot be able to compare with mum's cooking or Singapore food but it isn't that bad for a change.
After that, we went to shop at one weird store and bought quite a few items at a very low prices. =D

Once we reached home, we continue slacking, eating strawberries and cherries.

20th birthday

This is my first time I celebrated my birthday away from home.
I cannot do what I used to do. The movies, kbox, buffets, shopping and picnic.

I wasn't expecting much as I'm away from most of my family and friends but I really enjoyed this birthday.

I had my advance birthday dinner with the Disney folks at house of blues after class on Monday.
On the 10th, Sylvia and Shu Hui came over to my place with a home made cake! =D
I had a red Adidas bag from my Sarah, Yen and Jasmine for birthday! All of us have a similar bag! =)

On the 11th, we went over to UO and play! I had fun and we watched Blue Man Show.
It is a really good show. The way the men are able to inject music, art, science and humor without any oral or written communication between them.

After that at night, we went over to Roxy club to dance. Hahas..
It is my first time clubbing over here, the crowd over there was low as everyone was more interested in the final match of Magic vs Lakers.
And Magic lost the game and Shu Hui was so upset that she has no mood to dance.

On the 12th, Sylvia and I went to IHop to eat pancakes! It was really good. =D
They have free flow of latte, mocha and regular coffee too.
After that, we went to Prime Outlet and began our shopping spree.

I have spent so much recently.
I bought VS, papaya, fcuk, AX, coach, rue21, forever 21 and Gap.
I went online shopping at American Eagles, A&F and Aldo.
I'm so so broke now.

3 more days to go

I haven't been blogging frequently.
It has been a busy week with all those planning for this and that.

I cooked lunch for Jasmine yesterday and she said it was delicious. =D Hahas..
For the matter of fact that I don't always cooking in Singapore, the dishes that I cooked are pretty decent actually. At least, they are edible and not charred.
Mummy! I have your genes for cooking! Hahas.. Not as wonderful as a cook that she is because I am clumsy that I had myself burnt while cooking.

It is 8 of June 2009.
In 3 more days, I will be turning 20 and itting the big "2".
This birthday is so different from the ones I had from the previous years.
It is something more tone down and less friends to celebrate. Hahas.. I used to celebrate my birthday for a few days going out, shopping, eating, movie-ing and many other activities.
Yet, over here I don't know how I want my birthday to be celebrated.
Something simple sound good.

My favourite birthday activity: sprung onto my dad and mum's room once the clock strike 12am.
Mummy and Daddy!
Where is my Han's fruit cake for birthday?
Where is my birthday kisses? *I INSIST*
Jie and Kor, what are you guys giving me for birthday?
Where are we eating for dinner? Bai Mee Fen again? =) Can I have Da Tou?
I miss my family. So weird celebrating my birthday away from them.

Will people still remember it is my birthday when I am in states? I hope they will. =)

THANKS SARAH, JASMINE AND YEN FOR THE BIRTHDAY CARD!
IT IS SO SWEET OF YOU GIRLS!
LOVESSS!!

tiring

Sunday was a bad day for me.
I was supposed to report at 8.45am but I reached there at 8am so that i can buy my lunch from the cafeteria.
And it only opens at 10am, someone told me it opened at 8am. =.=
I was too early to do anything.

Later in the day, I was working at the unload. There was a metal piece protuding at the side and it torn my shoes and socks.

Am I doing the right thing at work?
I am doing my best to obtain the maximum satisfaction of every guest at work however many just simply don't appreciate it at all.
Maybe the technical best is not what the guests presume as the best for them.
However, when some guests have special requests or insist that things to do it their way, I usually let them.

"But they will come back to me and as me why isn't my face in the picture?"
"Because there is only 2 face for each seat."

"Oh, don't you find this information very familiar? I bet the people at load repeat it so many times."
Or, "Why I can't sit with my friends and family?"
"Oh, beacuse they just mention 2 in their party and I guess he fogotten to invite you?"
"Oh, because they don't find a point to wait for you?"

Sometimes I wish I can say all these to them. But it will make me not professional anymore.
It makes me feel that I should shortchange my services to them as not many guests really appreciate the cast members' effort.

Things are getting blur.
Once again.
